Linkedskills is recruiting a Project Manager for a full-time, permanent position delivering ESB / utilities infrastructure projects in Dublin with an established civil engineering contractor.
You will manage project delivery from planning through execution, overseeing programme, budgets, site teams, subcontractors, safety and quality. This role requires relevant experience within the Irish civil engineering sector and a minimum Level 8 qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project requirements and prepare detailed baseline programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Monitor progress, identify critical-path delays and provide programme updates to the client.
- Manage project budgets, track costs and address issues affecting commercial performance.
- Identify variations and negotiate additional costs and extensions of time where required.
- Review contract documentation and issue contractual notices within the required timeframes.
- Manage Site Agents, Project Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, coordinating site delivery through the Site Agent.
- Review and approve monthly progress claims.
- Review and approve Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and pre-construction health and safety documentation.
- Carry out regular health, safety and quality audits.
- Resolve design and delivery issues with clients and project teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Level 8 qualification.
- Proven project management experience within the Irish civil engineering sector.
- Relevant power or utilities infrastructure experience.
- Experience working within road corridors is desirable.
- Strong programme management, budgeting and contract administration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Full driving licence.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Location & Availability
- Currently residing in Ireland with the right to work in Ireland.
- Living within commuting distance of the Dublin project.
- Notice period of no more than five weeks, subject to the client’s required start date.
