Using this website
These Terms of Use explain the rules that apply when you visit jobs.linkedskills.ie, create or use a candidate account, search for roles, submit an application, upload information, or otherwise use services made available through the website. Please read them before using the website.
By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. These terms should be read with the Candidate Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy available through the website footer.
If you use Linkedskills recruitment services as an employer or client, any separate signed terms of business or recruitment agreement will govern those services. If there is a conflict, that separate agreement takes priority for the relevant services.
1 About Linkedskills
The website is operated by Linkedskills Limited, trading as Linkedskills Expert Talent Solutions, an Irish recruitment business. In these terms, Linkedskills Limited is referred to as Linkedskills, we, us or our.
Our contact details are:
- North Block, Rockfield Central, Dublin 16, D16 W7W3, Ireland
- Email: Ta-Team@linkedskills.ie
- VAT number: 4736541EH
2 Who may use the website
You may use the website only if you are legally capable of agreeing to these terms. If you use the website for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for that organisation.
The website is intended primarily for people seeking work, candidates represented by Linkedskills, prospective candidates, employers, clients and other legitimate visitors. It must not be used for unlawful, misleading or unauthorised purposes.
3 Candidate accounts
Where account or portal features are available, you must provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly at Ta-Team@linkedskills.ie if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
You must not create an account for another person without their authority, impersonate another person, or knowingly provide false qualifications, employment history, identity information or other misleading material.
4 Job searches and applications
Job advertisements are provided for general information and may be changed, withdrawn or filled at any time. We take reasonable care when publishing information, but vacancy details may be supplied by employers or other third parties and may not always be complete, current or error free.
Submitting an application, CV or profile does not guarantee an interview, an offer, placement, employment or any response from an employer. It does not create an employment relationship with Linkedskills or with an employer.
Any decision to apply for, accept or leave a role is your own. You should check the employer, location, duties, remuneration, benefits, working arrangements, eligibility requirements and any other material terms before accepting an opportunity.
5 Information you provide
You are responsible for information and materials you submit, including your CV, profile, application answers, messages and attachments. You confirm that:
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading;
- you have the right to provide it and it does not infringe another person's rights;
- it does not contain unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, abusive or malicious material; and
- it does not contain viruses, harmful code or material designed to disrupt the website.
You retain ownership of your materials. You allow us to host, copy, review and use them only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, provide recruitment services requested by you, comply with law, and handle them as described in the Candidate Privacy Notice. This permission ends when the relevant purpose ends, subject to lawful retention obligations and technical backup cycles.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a CV or application, such as bank details, passwords, complete identification numbers or medical information, unless we specifically request it through an appropriate process and explain why it is needed.
6 Acceptable uses
You must not:
- use the website in breach of any applicable law or another person's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, an account, server, database or connected system;
- introduce malware, interfere with security features, overload the service or disrupt another user's access;
- scrape, harvest, copy or extract website content or personal data using automated tools without our prior written permission;
- use website content to build or enrich an unauthorised database, mailing list or competing service;
- send spam, fraudulent enquiries or unsolicited commercial communications through the website; or
- reverse engineer, bypass or circumvent access controls, except where the law expressly permits this.
7 Employer and client use
Employers and clients must use candidate information only for legitimate recruitment purposes and in accordance with applicable law, confidentiality obligations and any separate agreement with Linkedskills. Access to candidate information does not transfer ownership of that information or permit unrelated marketing, onward sale or unauthorised disclosure.
Employers remain responsible for their recruitment decisions, employment offers, workplace obligations and the accuracy and lawfulness of information they ask us to publish. Linkedskills may refuse, suspend or remove an advertisement or instruction that appears unlawful, discriminatory, misleading or inconsistent with these terms.
8 Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, Linkedskills or its licensors own the website and its content, including its design, text, graphics, branding, software and databases. You may view, download and print reasonable extracts for your personal job search or legitimate internal recruitment activity.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, publish or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law. Linkedskills names, logos and branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or authority without written consent.
9 Privacy and cookies
Our Candidate Privacy Notice explains how Linkedskills collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal data, the legal bases relied on, and the rights available to individuals. Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used. These documents are separate from these Terms of Use and are available through the website footer.
If a third-party platform or employer processes your personal data for its own purposes, its privacy information may also apply. Linkedskills does not control an independent third party's data practices.
10 Third party websites and services
The website may contain links to employer websites, job boards, social networks, mapping services or other third-party services. Links are provided for convenience and do not mean that Linkedskills endorses or controls those services. Their own terms and privacy notices apply, and you should review them before using the service or providing information.
11 Website availability and security
We aim to keep the website available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change any part of the website for maintenance, security, legal, technical or business reasons.
You are responsible for using appropriate devices, internet access, security software and backups. While we take reasonable precautions, no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or free from harmful components.
12 Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under Irish consumer law are not affected.
The website and its content are provided for general recruitment and information purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linkedskills is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on website content, the acts or omissions of employers or other third parties, or losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control.
If you use the website for business purposes, Linkedskills will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from website use. Any liability relating to paid recruitment services will be governed by the applicable separate agreement.
13 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to the website or an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, the website or another user is at risk, access is unlawful, or suspension is necessary to protect Linkedskills, candidates, clients or third parties. Where appropriate and lawful, we will take reasonable steps to notify the affected user.
You may stop using the website at any time. To request closure of a candidate account or exercise a data protection right, follow the process in the Candidate Privacy Notice or contact Ta-Team@linkedskills.ie. Account closure does not require us to delete information that must be retained for legal, regulatory or legitimate record-keeping purposes.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, our services or applicable law. The updated version will be posted on the website with a revised last-updated date. Material changes will be highlighted or communicated where reasonably practicable. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their stated effective date.
15 General terms
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a reorganisation, merger, sale or transfer of the relevant business, provided this does not reduce any mandatory legal rights.
These terms, together with the documents expressly referred to in them, form the agreement governing use of the website. They do not replace any separate recruitment, employment or client agreement.
16 Governing law and courts
These terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law gives you a right to bring proceedings in another court.
