The Opportunity
Looking for a permanent driving role with Monday-to-Friday hours, a 7:00 AM start and earnings of €46,700 - €50,000+?
Linkedskills is recruiting experienced Category C Rigid Drivers on behalf of an established Dublin-based transport and logistics organisation.
This is a long-term permanent opportunity offering consistent daytime work, a predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule, €30 daily tax-free subsistence and regular overtime opportunities.
You will join a professional transport operation delivering palletised goods to hospitals and healthcare facilities across Dublin and surrounding areas.
The role is well suited to an experienced driver who takes pride in safe driving, vehicle care, reliability and providing a professional service to customers.
The Role
Your working day will typically begin at 7:00 AM, with approximately two scheduled delivery runs per day.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering palletised goods safely and efficiently to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Completing scheduled delivery routes throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.
- Checking loads and ensuring goods are correctly secured before departure.
- Completing delivery manifests, paperwork and proof-of-delivery documentation accurately.
- Carrying out daily vehicle walk-around and safety inspections.
- Identifying and reporting vehicle defects promptly.
- Communicating with the transport team regarding delays, access issues or changes to the delivery schedule.
- Complying with Driver CPC requirements, drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and road traffic legislation.
- Following company health and safety and transport procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and presentable vehicle.
- Representing the company professionally at customer locations.
Because you will be delivering into healthcare environments, professionalism, punctuality and customer service are just as important as strong driving ability.
What We're Looking For
You must hold:
- Full Category C Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous professional rigid-driving experience in Ireland.
- Good knowledge of Dublin and surrounding routes.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks and transport compliance.
- Ability to complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage a structured daily delivery schedule.
- Legal authorisation to work in Ireland.
Previous experience in multi-drop distribution, palletised freight, foodservice, pharmaceutical, medical or healthcare deliveries would be particularly relevant.
